Eat your heart out, Barney!
This beautiful Girls from Savoy dress is about 4 years old and from Anthropologie. I’m a big fan of sweetheart necklines and full-skirted dresses. A dress like this can accentuate the right parts of any woman’s body, while subtly hiding the parts we don’t want to put on full display. The dark purple color in itself is very slimming, while the gold embroidery details around the waist and near the hemline add interest.
When I’m really dressed up, I add a masculine piece to balance out my outfit and my usual go-to is this FANTASTIC lambskin leather jacket from All Saints. I bought this jacket in May 2014 and is my first and (likely) last leather jacket. I’m a big believer in investment pieces that will stand the time of fashion and this jacket will never be dated. This is a jacket for all seasons. SERIOUSLY…ALL SEASONS…EVEN SUMMER! #OBSESSED.
To finish the look, I paired it with my favorite heels from Banana Republic, the Jovana Pump. I have never shopped for shoes from Banana until recently and the heels are EXTREMELY comfortable and well made. I love the crossover “wraparound” ankle straps with the gold buckle detail.
This is the perfect outfit for any season and can easily cross-over to the holidays with the modest and feminine look of the dress, while the leather jacket keeps you toasty from the chill in the air.
